Honoring the
Seafaring Spirit

The name Abong comes from the Bajau Laut word for "seeing double" or seasickness—a playful nod to the intoxicating nature of our experience.

Our story is rooted in respect for the seafaring communities that built this region. We reflect this heritage through a pescetarian menu that marries the bounty of the sea with vegetables and herbs from the land.

Local & Natural

We source locally first—Asparagus from Mount Kinabalu, fresh kale and eggs from Signall Hill Eco Farm just 200 meters away, and daily catches like Ikan Sebelah and Trevally from our local fishermen.

Accompanied by natural wines made with minimal intervention, we champion a world based on nature, free from unnecessary chemicals, just as it was in the early days.
